Help our fellow countrymen that will be affected  by “Florence”, the huge Hurricane that is about to hit the East Coast, as well as another possible Hurricane, that might affect Texas.

The Red Cross is the one non-governmental disaster relief agency that seems to do the best job in helping those in need during these disasters.

If you can, please also donate a few dollars directly to the Red Cross either monetarily, or if qualified, donate some of your time.  Many trained Red Cross staffers will be sent to the East Coast or Texas to aid people, but the Red Cross may need some part time staff in your community to fill in temporarily for those who are directly involved in relief efforts. Just give your local Red Cross chapter a call to see if
you can help in any way.

Donate directly Here : Red Cross – Florence

To donate, via text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross
Disaster Relief, which helps people affected by disasters such as
hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, wildfires and tornadoes. Charges will
appear on your wireless bill, or be deducted from your prepaid balance.

How much does the Red Cross actually donate?
Donors want to know how much of their donation goes to the humanitarian
services and programs the Red Cross provides, and how much goes to our
costs for fundraising and management and general. The fact is an average
of 91 cents of every dollar the Red Cross spends is invested in our
humanitarian services and programs.
